HOLY COW!!! O_o

OMG ED IS SHAKING SO HARD. YUSHOU ALMOST DID SUCCEED IN REACHING HIM THOUGH. ED IS JUST AS TORN AS THE CARD IS NOW BETWEEN TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IDEALS AND IT’S JUST TOO MUCH FOR HIM ;______________;

I don’t know about you, but I’m just flashing back to this right now:

Heh, yeah it’s certainly rather similar to that scene. ^^;

Although honestly the first thing that came to mind for me was actually the scene from episode 98 when Ed’s dad is telling him to destroy Bloo-D and that he has to let him go and move on. These are both intensely emotional scenes for Ed for different reasons and the scream of anguish he gives in both is basically exactly the same. In GX it’s because he knows that his dad is right, that he has to do this to set him free, but it hurts him so much to let him go. In Arc V it’s because Ed still can’t let go of the things he’s learned from his father figure, the Professor, and being stuck between these two ideals is tearing him apart.

And it’s also interesting that both scenes involve cards that are very personal to him.
