I mean I suppose one of them could have just taken it as a souvenier or something but it’s the principle of it that matters most to them. Nothing can take the place of their own precious decks.

Exactly. That’s how I feel with my own decks. Each card contains a special memory.

I want to add, Yugi didn’t win because his cards were better, he used strategy.

We saw back in season 1, with that Dimitri kid, that having Yugi’s deck doesn’t guarantee a win

Yeah, that’s quite true! I’ve also heard people say that Yugi’s deck is kind of a mess and wouldn’t actually be that good in real life. I don’t know how true that might be but it just goes to show even more that it’s the duelist and their connection to their deck that matters most in Yugioh world and not just having a particular deck in and of itself.
