Lol, yeah, I’ve heard that it’s supposed to be a darker and grittier atmosphere overall which is why I’m not feeling particularly enthusiastic about starting it right now. I’m rather tired of darkness. ^^;;;

It’s actually the least painful series, pretty much all the characters are genuinely good (though sometimes brought to do wrong things), and it basically goes “the world can be harsh but we can change it, we’re not alone and humans aren’t inherently bad”.
